I bring event expertise, creative planning, and joy for music all together to craft an unforgettable dance experience

For over a decade, I played records at dance parties across the Bay Area, from big club events* to private parties (weddings, company parties, fundraisers, secret society speakeasies). And now that I live in Los Angeles, I’m looking forward to bringing the jams to new crowds.

My speciality is spinning original 45rpm soul, girl groups and funk records from the 1960’s, but I tailor every playlist and mix to fit each unique event and dance floor, no matter the genre. Feel-good oldies, hip-hop, indie dance, and pop chart-toppers from across the decades are all in my repertoire.

I supply all of my own sound equipment, with capacity for vinyl and digital music play. If you’re interested in booking me for your event, please drop me a line.

It all started on my late-night radio show on KALW 90.7 Berkeley and exploded into an IRL career. Outside of DJing, I’ve also produced multiple music programs for radio and podcasts, including the Noise Pop Podcast, NPR's first 24-hour stream of Northern Soul music, this Northern Soul radio special (2013) featuring interviews with Bay Area DJs, and a short audio documentary (2014) I made about the dance party 1964!. You can also see me featured in the 2020 documentary Vinyl Nation.
